Highlights from the November SPIN Meeting: Understanding Trauma-Informed Care
At the November SPIN meeting, we were honored to welcome Elaine Walters from the Trauma Healing Project for her presentation, “Trauma Awareness & Trauma-Informed Care Basics.” Elaine shared valuable insights on understanding trauma as a natural human response rather than a disorder and discussed how trauma-informed care promotes safety, empowerment, and self-worth for both clients and staff. Her presentation reminded us of the importance of compassionate, accountable practices that support healing and resilience in our communities.
We sincerely thank Elaine Walters for sharing her expertise and commitment to trauma-informed healing.
